I got a second e-mail from Ted Nasmith!!!
I guess it's no big deal, but I am obsessed with his work, especially that of the Silmarillion, so (as you do) I e-mailed him twice and he e-mailed back twice! I'm so proud (and sad to be this excited)!!
1st E-mail:
Dear Mr. Nasmith,
I am not writing to bombard you with questions, or even to declare that I am your biggest fan, only to say thankyou for being the source of my inspiration to create LOTR based drawings. I particularly favour your Silmarillion work, but the best has got to be The Grey Havens, simply because it makes me happy.
Yours thankfully,
Dora Eisele
The Reply:
A very sincere Thank You, Dora!

Ted
2nd E-mail:
Hey Mr Nasmith,
My name's Dora (otherwise known as Dora Baggins) and I have e-mailed you before to tell you of the inspiration you have been to me. I am e-mailing again to ask if you are still doing Silmarillion art work, and if so, when will it be shown on the internet or on your website?
I also wanted to show you the conversation that my fellow fans and I have had about you @

Hello Dora,
Thanks for writing; I was intrigued to ‘eavesdrop’ on the bit of forum you linked. (Dunno why my faces are considered so somber, mind…does it include the females?)
[‘Lady Elentari’ mentions working for me @ TG, but I’m afraid I don’t recall her offhand. I’m glad I influenced her painting, however.]
The Silmarillion w/ new illustrations will debut in Britain Sept. 6th, and in the U.S. Nov. 15th. I’ve been intending to post some of the new paintings, but am always playing catch up; they should appear within the week. I showed some of the originals at Mythcon recently, and will take more w/ me to Oxford in September.
Take Care,
Ted
