What the fuck...This shit sucks...so what ur saying bb is that, if someone who isn't a friend of yours logs in with his fb account they'll be able to read your f-locked entries?
Or if one of your friends cross posts the comment he left you then everyone can see your entry?

EXAMPLE:
if you write a post with pics of gay guys kissing and I comment on it and then I cross-post my comment to my Facebook page, ANY ONE who has a Facebook account (your parents, your boss, your neighbour, the Pope, Queen Elisabeth and such) can click on my link and get to ur post, even if it's f-locked

Basically cross-posting = no privacy
Everybody is getting crazy over it

This add-on is the worst, really. No privacy whatsoever! Kinda loses all purpose of locking your journal in the first place. If some people want their LJ friends, fb friends and twitter friends to see their pictures of them wearing lilly undies on their head, let them (EW EW EW EW EW EWWWWW! D:) but it should at least be voluntary...
I'm trying hard to figure out the scripting to make at least the boxes go away and not really getting it, though.

I KNOW!!!!
So many ppl are getting pissed off and yet no one from the staff member wrote a reply of some sort about it.
Way to go LJ....

About the script, you should use Firefox and Greasemonkey (is that its name?) and then install the script.
I think you'll have to restart Firefox after that, but it should work
(I still have to try it, but those who did, said it worked for them)

They're ignoring it on purpose at least for now. Their "great" idea and we hate it? Unacceptable! Way to go, Elle Jay ._____.

I'm on Opera, its' functions should read the scripts for Greasemonkey just as good, it's only ME who doesn't understand how to activate the script reading or w/e I need to do to make it work *kicks self*

As far as I know, the best thing to do is to keep ur very private posts filtered (aka only a few users can read it).
Same goes with fanfics or adult-like material.

The very best thing would be if they actually remove this shit (>.<)
If they can't, let's just hope our friends won't feel the need to cross-post things somewhere else.

Someone tested it -> http://dysonrules.livejournal.com/200879.html

I'd hate if something like that happened to me.
Even if my Facebook friends don't know I have an LJ account, if they see this username, they'll immediately know it's me and I DON'T LIKE THAT!
So even if they can't read the whole post and such, I've been found out anyway

This is disturbing and not so very legal IMFHO.
Doralice is my real name.
What if someone cross-post their comment on Facebook and some of my friends (even MY BOSS!) reads it and find out I have a LJ account?
srsly this is a big NO!

This new LJ stuff just sucks arse. >___<;;

...Especially for Yaoi writers with public story posts (*raises hand* XD). I will probably have to lock up my stories again... =/ But then that means that I won't be able to post them in comms anymore or I'll have to post them IN the comms. *sighs* I don't want to do that. >___<;;

We should start a riot.

How's Dreamwidth (or whatever it's called)? XD

It's really fucked up.
I want to meet the "mind" who thought this was a good idea and KICK HIS ASS TILL XMAS!!!!

ehm

It's not bad, they actually CARE about ppl.
As much as I could read on that news post, a huge number of ppl is moving there.

All these so-called genius inventions and glitches on LJ makes me want to move somewhere else. >___<;; I wonder if I'll still be able to continue writing fics over there if I join. XD

I do hope that they'll at least give us the option to use the Repost to FB or Twitter or not. I really don't want any of my entries here to be reposted somewhere else. =/ There's a reason why people have separate accounts on separate sites. o_o
