Kalender di bumi ada 3 - solar, lunar, lunisolar
Penggali kalender sunda adalah Abah Ali Sastramidjaja. Pada tahun 2005 diperkenalkan di pendopo Bandung dan sekarang diperkenalkan di pendopo Garut 2015.
Kehebatan kalender sunda adalah benar-benar membaca alam. Tidak ada tanggal 16 pada kalender tersebut hanya sampai tanggal 15.
