A lot of text-only icons, with a couple picture-based
Finally, I've had some time to play around with brushes more, and make a bunch of these icons that have been waiting for forever.
All border brushes used below are by quebelly from brushaddicts unless otherwise specified.
The base for #1 is by enriana from obsessiveicons. #2, #3, and #4 use default patterns, and #2 also uses various
brushes from Digital Goodies. The text in #3 and #4 comes from Calvin Miller's awesome book The Singer. #5 uses a decorative brush from lovetheories, on brushaddicts. The pattern is from Hybrid Genesis. #6 uses a default
brush and a border brush by icons_with_love, from brushaddicts. #7 is also from The Singer, and uses a pic from Getty, and a brush by icons_with_love. #8 and #9 use patterns from Graphicxtras and brushes from even_art. #9 is a request by angelkerensa. #10, #11, and 12 use default patterns, and #11 & #12 use border brushes by even_art. #13 is a request by beansideirae, and uses a couple brushes by dj43 and a border brush by icons_with_love from brushaddicts. Screencaps in #14 are by newsie__nympho and jadeleopard, both from cap_it and dj_capslock both. #15 uses brushes from Hybrid Genesis and a default pattern. #16 uses an About.com free pattern and a brush by quebelly from brushaddicts.
#6, #8, #10, #11, and #12 are all from quotes by avian_dryad's professors, which I picked up here. #15 & #16 come from a convo with her, in which we decided that that was the theme of our group of friends.
