Hate to break it to you, but boojum is not a silly invented word.

It is, in fact! It is not my silly invented word, though. It is Lewis Carroll's, which I knew. I also had Jasper Fforde's usage in mind, given that something "Boojummed" in the context of his books is gone forever, which is basically what I would like to happen to exclusionary language.

So yes. Very much a silly invented word, just not one I claim credit for.

Turns out all the uses of the word 'boojum' were inspired by Lewis Carroll. So I suppose you're correct.
