There's something totally cool about rediscovering a CD you haven't listened to in a while.
What's even cooler, for me, is when I don't like a CD, put it aside, listen to it again because I'm bored and end up loving it.
I remember buying EVOL by Sonic Youth and thinking there were only two good songs on it. About a year later, I listened to it again and was blown away.
Same thing with Drugstore, one of my all-time favorite bands. At first listen I thought they were interesting but not all that. I then saw a movie called 'All Over Me' (I think.) The movie was average but they just happened to play 'Superglider' and it stuck in my mind so I decided to give the Drugstore CD another chance and loved it. In fact, I still listen to them over and over. I heard they had a third CD coming out but I've never seen it. )-:
And your post has me thinking about POE. I always liked them but didn't think they were awesome or anything. Maybe it's about time to give them another listen. (-:
