I will now quote my father, I admit right away this is not verbatim "Hey, I have a great idea, we could save money by getting rid of the second phone line! That's a great Idea! We don't use the internet all that much

Maybe if you don't want to be nostalgic and depressed, you shouldn't get drunk alone. Weirdo. Never fear! I shall be in CA towards the end of July, and I'll help you polish off any spare alcohol.
Your history professor sounds awesome. And I wouldn't be worried about not knowing enough about medieval history. Now, if I were the other students in the program, then I'd be worried about you and your mighty powers of intellect and battle spoonage. But you have nothing to fear.
In response, I did not get Drunk alone, I got drunk with friends. Then I went home and was still drunk, thus being alone and drunk. I don;t sit alone and drink, that would mean I was an alcaholic rather than a lush.
I will in fact be in town very soon. Come to think of it, at this very moment I should be packing so that I can make my very early morning flight. Your number is going in my phone as we speak and you will be hearing from me. Or let me hear from you (650 784 6313) My instinct is to cocoon with Tony o n these trips, but he's a working man these days and I miss you like crazy, so I have all sorts of reasons to get out of the house, no? Let's go adventuring! (Or at least have a drink and catch up!)
I arrive tomorrow, I leave on the 26th. Plenty of opportunities.
Like Melina, I cannot believe several things about this entry:
1. I cannot believe you never read that Byzantine Empire book before this. I gave it to you for Christmas SOPHMORE year! Its one of the Cambridge history books! I would KILL somebody for one of those (that is not a threat, just so you know). It took me a whole day of used book store shopping all over the city to find it and it cost a LOT! Come ON!
2. Why are you whinning about your internet. I live in a living room where I don't have a phone line, much less consistant internet. Suck it up.
what happened to that fancy router I saw hiding under the desk in your living room hmm? doesn't provide internet? Heh, and in relation to the book, it is HUGE an therefor I can't read it in my normal manner, i.e. when I am walking. I have read several parts of it over the years Linds, but I haver never sat down and read it from cover to cover, mostly because I have never had a class on Byzantium (that is about to change). I assure you it is one of the best presents I have ever received and I do appreciate all the work you did to find it for me, thanks.
I know I bitch and whine a lot and I am sorry if it gets overwhelmingly annoying or pathetic, I just feel like I am in some weird stasis right now waiting at the edge of my new life and not yet having left my old life, it is odd and puts me on edge, bear with me hmmm?
