If we're filching Germans from Dortmund I want Götze, so I can have a legitimate reason to be obsessed with him besides the fact that he resembles someone I know (and hate but think is cute).
Ugh, I completely agree. The whole Abidal thing -- yeah, we're all glad he's better, I think we can all at least agree on the proposition that Cancer Is Bad, and it was sweet of the team to welcome him back.
But the crowd/commentariat reaction, that somehow that gesture neutralizes the Marcelo incident or the monkey chants or whatever?? Is fucking nuts. It's so transparently "I HAVE BLACK FRIENDS!!!!" that I almost can't believe people are saying it. ughfhgdfkhgjdfkhgkd

As a cule, I...pretty much have to agree with everything in this post. Let me be clear, I was eyerolling a lot over Mou's comments, I was annoyed at all the fouling (and yes, the diving from Barca players too), but what Busquets did is an entirely different thing, and doesn't deserve to be lumped in with the rest of the clasico madness, because it's a hell of a lot worse.
I keep waiting to feel less upset and disappointed, and it's just not happening. My team's in the CL final against Man United, a team I hate, and I can't get excited or pumped up about it at all. Because the thing is, even if you DO doubt that Busquets said that word (for the record, I don't) that still doesn't excuse the way that Barcelona and Pep handled the issue.
*sigh* At this point, I'm feeling like I basically have to step away from Barca/La Liga for good. I can't see myself getting over this any time soon.
hsfjsh. Yeah, man. It just sucks so, so much. It's funny -- I'm not even a fan of his team obvs, but because I respect Pep so much, I was doing an absolute SHITLOAD of magical thinking after that press conference, trying to twist his words around so I could keep my high opinion of him. "Maybe he was referring to the Pedro-diving stuff! Maybe 'mistakes' is a bad translation!! Maybe he said something about investigating and the MEDIA CONSPIRACY is hiding it!!!!" If I'd been in your position, as a fan, it would just. fhsdkfjhasghdfuhgdfjkvc

Oh man, Pep's comments were the WORST part, I was like, "...but, wait, how, can I still--oh, no. Oh no no no, this is not good." But like I said, it wasn't until I saw Busquets was going to play in the second leg that I realized that nothing was going to be done. It hurts, because I really respected Pep--I've never considered myself blind to some of Barca's faults, but I really thought our manager, at least, was someone to be respected/admired for his accomplishments and attitude. NOT SO MUCH NOW

The UEFA is such a terrible, biased organization that I cannot help but laugh at how stupid they are. SNOODS BAD, RACISM.. OKAY! noooo
But Marcelo scored at Camp Nou!
Let's look ahead to the potential players joining our beautiful team!

(Warning: several/most of the comments are EXTREMELY infuriating, as is sadly the norm when it comes to race issues.)
