Matt Bluestone wheezed and panted as he leaned against the building like it was the only thing holding him up. He glared darkly at Tony Dracon, who lay face down on the alley, his hands cuffed behind his back. He took a moment with his eyes closed so the world would stop spinning, then pushed off from the wall and stomped over to the crime boss. He reached down and grabbed Tony by the hair, dragging his head up. “You bastard,” he panted. “You total, utter, complete bastard.”
“I’ll have you know my parents were happily married, Detective,” Tony smirked. Matt dropped his head and kicked him in the ribs. It wasn’t a very good kick, but it got his point across.
“I should drop you into the river. Nobody would ever convict me. And even if they did, I would go to jail gladly, knowing scum like you was gone for good.” He kicked again. “And that is for making me chase you, you greasy little bastard.”
