Summary: I was bribed into this with http://yaoi.y-gallery.net/view/230439/. Not that I wasn’t going to continue. It’s just that bribery makes me work faster.

“Buttons, buttons, too many buttons,” Dorrek mumbled into William’s neck as his hands slid under the prince’s shirt. William clutched at Dorrek’s back, pulling him deeper into the hidden nook in the gardens. Dorrek growled something in Skrullos as they tumbled to the ground, his teeth grazing the dark haired boy’s jaw.

“Careful,” William warned, letting out a little gasp as Dorrek’s nails rasped over his nipples.

“You need clothes with fewer buttons,” the young emperor retorted.

“Part of being a prince,” William murmured, nipping Dorrek’s ear. He felt a shudder run through the blonde, so he did it again.

“I never had buttons,” Dorrek pointed out.

“Deprived child.”

“They disappeared into the garden over an hour ago, Your Majesty. His Highness has thrown a barrier up around them. Our telepaths cannot get a lock on their thoughts.”

“Keep trying. I want to know what they’re up to.”

“We’ve got to move,” William whispered into Dorrek’s ear. “They’ll come looking if we’re not seen walking around.”

Dorrek grunted, nuzzling his way down William’s chest. “Let them.” He grabbed the prince’s wrists, pinning them to the ground, and nipped at his throat, sucking at the flesh.

“Let me up,” William said, trying to get his hands free and sit up.

“Mm… No.” Dorrek bit a little harder, causing William to yelp. Dorrek yelped himself seconds later, and leapt off the Lehnsherr scion. The dark boy sat up, little lightning bolts crackling across his skin and making both their hair stand on end.

They stared at each other, watching warily. There was a spark of something in William’s eyes, and he was the first to break contact. Angrily, he buttoned his shirt. “Well, it’s been swell seeing you again--”

“What? Billy--” He reached out to the prince, but William jerked away. “Please--”

“-but I’ve got things I need to get done. Goodbye.”

Suddenly, Dorrek was alone in the nook with just the smell of ozone.

“What happened?” he asked the empty air.

“What happened?”

“Nothing, Mother.”

Wanda took William’s face in her hands and clucked her tongue. “You’ve been crying.”

“I’m fine.”

“Is that a bite mark?”

“Mother, please…”

“I want names. Who did this to you?”

“I took care if it.”

“I’ll have their heads for this.”

“I took care of it, Mother.”

“Are you done with this, Your Majesty?”

Dorrek rubbed the bridge of his nose. “All treaties signed… everything’s ready to be finalized…” He stared at the wall. “He zapped me.”

Kl’rt arched a brow ridge. “He zapped you?”

“He zapped me,” Dorrek repeated forlornly. “I’ve done something to upset him, and he zapped me, and now he never wants to see me again.”

“It’s for the best, my liege.”

Dorrek turned a blue eye on the Super-Skrull. “How so?”

“You’re not staying,” Kl’rt said, “and you can’t take him with you.”

Dorrek blinked, not listening as Kl’rt went on. Instead, he was thinking. Finally, he held up a hand, brining the Super-Skrull to a halt. “I need to meet with King Erik, first thing in the morning.”

Kl’rt gave his emperor a suspicious look. “As you wish.”

Erik Lehnsherr, King of Genosha, watched the Skrull Emperor read over the proposed treaty while his bodyguard loomed behind him like a great gargoyle. The boy... for he was no older than Erik's grandsons... put the paper down and folded his hands over his stomach, regarding the Master of Magnetism steadily. "What you propose would bind my Empire to your house for as long as both stand." He ran his thumb over his fingers in a nervous gesture.

Erik waited for the boy to continue.

"I propose," Dorrek VIII said, taking a deep breath, "we seal our alliance in a truely traditional way."

Erik picked up a pen, twirling it between his fingers. "I believe I see what you mean. I will speak with Lorna and see if-" The king stopped short as the young emperor raised his hand.

"Princess Lorna is a fine woman and a credit to your house, but she is not the one I would ask for."

"Then... Wanda?" Erik said slowly, slightly disbelieving. The boy quickly shook his head.

"William," Dorrek said. "I want William."

The pen dropped out of Erik's suddenly nerveless fingers.
