Green
Cassie fingered her son’s bright green hair for a moment before laying him down for his nap.

Sunset
Hal watched the sunset, and Nate watched Hal.

Diamond
“Now, you see, the thing is, I can alter my density to the point where I’m as dense as a diamond, which is why all your knuckles are broken.”

Summer
The summer spent at the Mancha’s was educational, if rather somber.

Prowl
The Hide-the-Cheezit’s game had gotten more and more complex over time; Eli was more inclined to prowl around at odd times than Stark had been.

Open
Hal shivered as Nate pulled his fly open with his powers as his hands explored the cyberpath’s chest.

Funeral
He held Nate close as they lowered his father into the ground.

Aloof
Nate and Hal held themselves apart from others, observing them like an interesting anthill.

Embarrassed
It was difficult to embarrass someone who’d been surfing the internet in his head all his life.

Good
It took talent to look like he was behaving himself while helping Nate plot.

Lonely
“When are you coming back from training?”

Predatory
Hal stalked around the table, closing in on the magnokinetic.

Bored
“I’m bored,” Hal Lang announced the day he started building the Computer.

Enamored
“It’s beautiful,” he said as he stood on the bridge of the Viewpoint.

Home
The Tower was, and always would be, his home.

Colors
Greens and golds dominated his coloration, from his hair (which had darkened to a forest green over time), to his eyes (which tended to be the color of molten gold).

Hockey
Hockey was the only sport Hal actually enjoyed.

Crazy
Some people thought Henry Lang was crazy; that was always an accusation leveled at those who perceived a wider reality than most.

Joke
“Well, I thought it was funny,” Nate assured him.

Disgust
“You two,” Benji said, “are so gross.”

Wait
Hal marked the day off on the calendar, then counted the ones remaining until Nate would be back.

Bomb
“The problem with such a high tech bomb,” Hal explained, “is that any technopath can defuse it with a thought.”

Call
Hal didn’t need a telephone; he just reached out to other people’s phones and talked through them.

Red
He ran his fingers through the reddish curls on Nate’s head, admiring the color.

Memories
“Actually, I store most of my memories in my computers.”

Love
He lay with his head on Nate’s stomach, listening to the magnokinetic breath.

Beginnings
“Henry Scott Lang,” Cassie said, and the Vision wrote the name on the birth certificate.

Parents
Cassie and Vision often found themselves perplexed by Henry’s strange behavior.

Sex
He pushed Nate onto the bed, groping and fumbling for the lube while Nate made the kind of noises that drove him crazy.

Enraged
“You hurt my friend,” the boy whispered as he fried the ship’s computer.

Brown
“I like your hair how it is,” Nate said, looking at the box of hair dye.

Happy
He hummed tunelessly as he built the new addition to the Computer.
