Title: That Damn MPreg Part 6: Telling the Family
Universe: Young Avengers
Rating: PG-13
Summery: And this is where things get complicated.
Billy was flipping through his address book. “You know, I don’t have your sister's number anywhere?” he said a little too lightly, glancing at Teddy. “Isn’t that odd?”
Teddy looked innocently back at Billy. “We don’t have to tell her right away, anyway,” he pointed out. “In fact, we should probably hold off a while before telling anyone else.”
“And a while would be… how long?”
“I was thinking eighteen years. Maybe twenty.”
“I think they’re gonna notice before then,” Billy said dryly.
“Well, if we have to tell Genis and Philia, we should tell Kl’rt too.”
Billy scowled. “Lets not and say we did.”
“C’mon. He’s practically family.”
“He’s a dangerous terrorist who’s tried to kidnap you more than once.”
“Which means he’ll fit right in with your family!” Teddy said brightly.
“Hardy-har-har.”
“How about we start with your family, then do mine.”
“Well, we already got Tommy out of the way… remind me to send Gert a fruit basket, by the way… So I think Mom and Dad and the Dweebs should be next. Then Luna… Layla probably already knows… We should defiantly give T.J. a call.”
“What about…” Teddy made a little gesture with his hands.
“… I’d really rather not tell them. You know how things get when Magneto gets involved, and with Wanda… well.” Billy shrugged. He had a rather strange relationship with the woman who was his mother in spirit, if not in physicality. He adored her, and made no secret of it, but they kept their distance from each other. “And Luna will tell Pietro anyway, and you know how I feel about him.
Another fact of life in Billy’s family. Tommy got along better with their uncle than Billy did.
“I think that covers everyone.” Teddy said.
“We should probably include Rick on the list for your side of the family.” Billy pointed out. “Are we gonna have a baby shower?”
Teddy blinked. “… I’m gonna say no. That’d be asking for trouble.”

“Mom wants to know when you’re going to make an honest man of me.”
“Tell her that I’ll marry you as soon as you stop wearing Thor themed socks.”

“Hey, Lou! Guess what? We’re pregnant! Well, Teddy’s pregnant. Yeah, he’s a guy. Teddy, Luna says ‘Hi’.”
“Tell her I say ‘Hi’ too.”
“Teddy says ‘hi’. Yeah, we’re moving into the tower. Naw, I don’t think moving to the moon would be a better idea, really. I mean, I still have work, and the super-heroing. But I promise we’ll stop by and visit…”

“Moring, Teej! Okay, afternoon, then. Got some news. You’re gonna be an aunty! …. No, it’s Teddy. Yeah, I’m sure. You know, this really isn’t that funny. No, I haven’t told her yet. I’m saving it. Of course I’m gonna tell her. Gah, Layla probably already knows. Besides. She’s majorly creepy. I don’t care, she’s still creepy. We’re skipping the baby shower thing. Well, feel free! We’ll always be happy to have another babysitter.”
“Billy?”
“See you next week? Sure, we’d be happy to have you over!”
“Billy.”
“Really, TJ...”
“Billy, Wanda’s at the door.”
