Tommy ran in the storm, playing tag with the lightning and laughing with every step.
Sure, the fuck heads at the prison might have gathered tons of data on super speed, but they didn’t know jack shit about actually running. You couldn’t run in any of their little rooms with their equipment and their stupid tests.
Fuck, Tommy could barely breathe in them.
And putting him on a treadmill? Such a load of bullshit. Where was the incentive to really move, to cut loose and show them what he could really do when all you were seeing was four blank walls? Where was the fucking challenge?
The scientists could keep their tests and shove them where the sun didn’t shine. They’d never really get it, not in a million years They were just too slow, too stupid to ever really understand what it was like to run.
Lightning nipped at Tommy’s heels, and he laughed at it and kept running.
