It’s supposed to mean forever, Jono said softly, his hand wrapped around the ring Jubilee wore on the chain around her neck. It’s twin still rested on Jono’s finger.
The leader of the X-People tugged the chain back, tucking it under her shirt. “Nothing lasts that long,” she replied. “And I’m tired of talking about it. I’m here to see Sean.”
The telepath let out a purely mental sigh. Our dear son took off ‘bout an hour ago.
“You don’t know where he is?”
He’s a big boy. He can handle himself.
“He’s just a kid!” Jubilee almost shrieked.
Technically. But he spend years in an alternate future. He grew up without us, and he can manage fine. If he needs either of us, he knows what to do. But if you really need to find him, I think he went to say hi to Franklin.
“It…” Jubilee chaffed her arms, her gaze dropping. “It doesn’t seem right.”
I know, Jono answered softly.
