Chika sat at the far edge of the room, watching the sunlight fall through the stained glass window and creep across the floor. He reached over and shook Satoshi out of his impromptu nap and pointed to the colored sunlight. “Pretty.”
Satoshi looked from Chika to the light, then rolled to his feed and waddled across the floor on chubby toddler legs. He sat down abruptly on a large patch of blue, slapping his hand on the floor. “Stay!”
The light had other ideas. It continued to creep across the floor, much to Satoshi’s dismay and Chika’s delight.
