“If I was the romantic you claim I am,” Tommy said, pinning Megan to the couch, “then I’d write you bad poetry. You don’t want me to write you bad poetry, do you?”
Megan giggled, wrapping her arms around Tommy’s neck. “So I’d be the Muse of Bad Poetry?”
“Awful poetry. Stupendously terrible poetry. The kind of stuff you’d find inside greeting cards,” Tommy told her earnestly.
“I could live with that,” Megan pointed out.
“Yeah, but I couldn’t. I’d turn all depressed and emo and I’d have to dye my hair black, and then I’d look like Billy, and then I’d be forced to kill myself.”
“So it’s a good thing you’re not a hopeless romantic,” Megan teased.
“Exactly.”
