Teddy was surprised to find that he liked being a stay at home dad. Rebecca and Robert (whom he soon redubbed Becca and Bobby) were relatively easy to manage. They just needed constant attention, which Teddy was happy to give.
It meant putting his education on hold (at least, for now), but he’d mostly been going to college because it was what was expected of him. And just what would he have done with a liberal arts degree, anyway?
Three weeks into his paternity leave, Billy had announced that he was going crazy, and he and Teddy agreed that Billy should go back to work both at HGL&K and with the Avengers.
Gert was happy to have the reality warper back in action, and Billy was happy to take a more proactive role in keeping his children safe.
When Teddy returned to the team, Billy took time off - “So one of us is always with them” - though he made more use of Cassie, Molly, Luna, and his mother as babysitters than Teddy had. There was no doubt that Billy adored his children, but he wasn’t as laid back as Teddy, and he hadn’t bonded as well with Becca, so he sometimes needed to get away a bit more often than Teddy did.
Teddy joked that the babysitters gave Becca and Bobby some much needed face time with women.
