Summary: Zeke’s not the only one who was persona non grata at the Tower.
Benji webbed the last of the boxes to his back and looked around his bare apartment while Wally stood by the door, brushing his hands off on his knees. “So do I stop having someone watching me all the time when I leave the Tower?” the arachnid-themed hero asked.
“So I was told,” Wally replied. “That the last of it?”
“Everything I own in the world,” Benji shifted his weight until the bundle on his back felt more comfortable. “They’re… nobody’s coming to say goodbye to me, are they?”
“Everyone’s trying to find where Bobby went.” Wally held the door open. “I’ll be joining them just as soon as you’re gone.”
“I never wanted to hurt anybody, Wally,” Benji whispered, hanging his head.
“Then you’ve got a fucking funny way of showing it,” Wally snapped, causing Benji to take a step back in surprise. Wally never lost his temper, not even with people he had good reason to. “Just go, Benjamin.”
