There were days when it amazed Luna that nobody had killed Tommy yet. “I do not!”
“You do too,” Tommy said with a smirk. “You said you would never work with a super-team again after that thing with the Defenders, but Frankie shows up and you’re falling all over yourself to join the Fantastic Four.”
“It’s not like that at all!” Luna insisted hotly, glaring at her cousin the way Karnak glared at… well, everyone.
“You’re blushing,” the speedster pointed out in a sing-song voice.
“Only because I’m angry at you!”
“Tommy, stop teasing Luna,” Billy sighed, shifting Bobby to his hip while Becca toddled along behind him like a baby duck after its mother.
“Lou’s got the screaming thigh sweats for Franklin Richards,” Tommy announced to his doppelganger, which set the gruesome twosome off on a chant of ‘screaming thigh sweats’ and made Billy grimace.
“I do not!” Luna insisted again.
“There’s nothing wrong with Franklin Richards,” Billy said thoughtfully, recognizing the futility of getting his children to stop chanting. “He’s a nice boy. He’s studying to be a doctor, you know.”
“Billy, hon, you’re way too young to be turning into a Jewish mother.”
