“This… is so incredibly embarrassing,” Tommy muttered, hanging his head. Megan just giggled, hovering in the air as she picked at the power dampener’s lock. “Promise me you won’t tell anyone about this.”
Megan paused, carefully considering the speedster’s request. “But what’s the fun of rescuing you if I don’t get to tell anyone? You always get to brag.”
“You’re an evil, evil woman, Megan. You know that?”
The X-Man drifted down until she was in front of the dangling speedster, twisting a few black and pink hairs around her finger. “How come you get to brag, but I don’t?”
“Because it’s the will of the universe.”
“I could call your teammates and let them know where you are. They could rescue you. With cameras.”
“This isn’t superhero behavior.”
“You’re the one who said I was evil.”
