Warren watched the little flame dance on the wick of the candle, bright and warm and inviting. His finger tip hovered just out of reach of the speck of fire, as if inviting it to crawl on.
It was… beautiful. Hypnotic.
“Please don’t play with that, honey.”
Warren didn’t move or look away.
“Warren?”
“Mom?” He looked at his mother, his hand moving slightly.
“Warren!”
Warren’s eyes jerked back to his hand, where the little flame danced on his finger.
“Wow.”
