Summary: He’s good at hiding. He almost had his sister fooled.
“You’re good,” Becca announced. “You damn near had me fooled.”
Nate looked at his sister, the picture of innocence as he juggled his bean bags. “Hm?”
“I know what your powers are.”
Nate kept right on juggling, not missing a beat. “I don’t have powers.”
“I saw what you did to that robot, Nate.”
“Couldn’t been lots of people who did that. Try a scan on me, and you’ll see. I’m just a regular guy.”
Becca snorted softly, rolling her eyes. “Ever look at the photos of you?” She asked. “Your hair used to be a lot less red.”
Nate blinked, but he still kept the bean bags in the air. “Lots of people have hair that changes as they get older.”
“Not like this, brother mine,” Becca snagged one of the bean bags and broke it open, letting the little metal pellets fall to the floor. “Look, either you tell the dads, or I do. But they need to know. Do I make myself clear?”
“Of course.”
