Jono was almost back to his room when he found his way blocked by Grace, who was holding a clipboard and looking a lot like one of those kids who collect signatures to get pot legalized. “We’ve taken a vote, dawg.”
“Who has?” Jono asked cautiously, not liking the look in the little blond girl’s eyes at all.
“Us. The girls. We want the kilt back.”
Jono let out a disgusted sigh and pushed past the little hacker. “No.”
“Man, why not? It was mad stylish!”
“I burned it,” Jono lied. “And you just liked it because you’re a bloody perv.”
“Aw, c’mon, it’s not like that at all!” Grace insisted, blocking Jono’s way again.
“I’ve seen your desktop. And your screen saver.” He got past her again, ignoring the flush creeping up Grace’s face.
