“You are the one who felt the need to come along,” Monet sighed, exasperated with Paige, “so you can at least make yourself useful and keep an eye on my sisters.”
Paige pursed her lips as she pressed napkins into Nicole’s hand, fighting the urge to ask Monet just what she thought Paige had been doing while Monet had been trying on outfit after outfit?
“The ice cream is delicious,” Nicole said, licking the sticky remains from her fingers. Claudette drew sticky figures on the nearby dressing room mirror.
“Lord, honey...” Paige moaned, pulling the girl away from the mirror. Monet made a face and sniffed derisively.
