Tommy fingered the tuft of pale pink hair sprouting from the top of his son’s head. “You poor bastard.”
Megan aimed a kick at Tommy’s knee that came nowhere close to connecting. “Don’t swear in front of Dillon,” she admonished.
“Why not? he’s gonna learn the words eventually.” He held the bundled baby up and made faces at him. “Might as well be from me. And he is a poor bastard. Look at his hair.”
“It’s pink. Well, kinda pink. So?”
“He’s a boy. Boys don’t have pink hair. He’s gonna get no end of shit at school.”
