Eli rested his forehead against the heel of his hand, drumming his fingers on his head as he fought to remember why he was friends with Billy. The spell caster wasn’t making that an easy task at the moment. “Maybe we should go see Dr. Strange.”
Billy made an apologetic face. “I tried as soon as I realized you’d been bitten by that werewolf. He’s not home, and Wong has no idea when he’ll be back.”
“So what you’re telling me is that I’m going to be turning into a werewolf every night until he gets back.” Eli groaned. “How am I gonna explain this to Grandma?”
“Would it kill you to have a little faith in my abilities?” Billy sighed, opening a musty, leather bound book. Eli winced as the spine made a slightly sickening cracking noise, despite how careful with it Billy was clearly being.
“Remember the shrinking spell?” he asked. “I do.”
