Ozai watched the nursemaids flock around his daughter and felt a wave of contentment wash over him. Here was the heir he had wanted and not gotten in the squalling, needy brat that was his firstborn. Here was the perfect child he would nurture into a perfect example of what the royal family should be.
His little Azula.
Ozai had no doubts that his father would quickly see that the girl was far superior to Iroh’s irritating offspring.
The fortune tellers he had consulted had assured him that Azula would clear the way to the throne for Ozai, and would be one of the great Firebenders of her time.
