Lillie wept for what felt like an eternity when she realized that she had forgotten what Victor’s voice sounded like. She was losing him bit by but to the ravages of time, like she had lost her looks and her friends. The memories of what could have been an epic love were fading like old photographs and dried roses.
Somehow, she had become a sad, lonely old woman with only Tristan for company.
It was almost enough to make her step off the edge of a building without any music. She couldn’t even remember the last time she had danced.
