“Records. Wow.” Angelo looked at the three gold disks hanging on the wall.
I was a bit of a novelty act, Jono explained. Kind of like going to see the tattooed man at the sideshow, but I made a fair bit of change. Invested it wisely. He grinned with his eyes. I’m still not sure when it was I turned respectable.
“It’s weird,” Angelo agreed. “You happy?”
As I can be, with that bloody American and my son, and Angel... He trailed off, and the room filled with an uncomfortable silence.
“So, what do you do these days?” Angelo asked, looking away from Jono.
Write songs for other groups, and occasionally I go on tour with the Skrull Beatles. Every now and then I help Excalibur too.
Angelo blinked. “Skrull... Beatles?”
Nice chaps. Did my second album with them.
