Summary: The first thing Ana noticed was her toes.
The first thing Ana Rasputin noticed about Lucy Guthrie was that she had very pretty toes. She was wearing sandals that day, and had her toenails painted with sparkly blue nail polish. Each toe was perfectly shaped and the skin was a rich shade of caramel. Ana couldn’t even see any stray hairs on them. She had dainty feet that peeked out from under her long denim skirt.
The second thing she noticed was that Lucy didn’t dress like her older sister. Rather than cover herself completely, she wore long sleeves, a skirt that almost reached the floor, and a scarf that covered everything but her face.
This only served to emphasize her eyes, which were large and green and rimmed with thick, sooty lashes. The dominated her narrow, bird like face like two emeralds set against dark wood.
The next thing she noticed about Lucy was that her fingernails were painted the same shade as her toenails, and that she’d stuck little jewels in the paint. Her hands were small and delicate, just like the rest of her.
For Ana, it was love at first sight.
If she had anyone she could have talked to about it, they would have told her that she was a complete and total sap.
