Summary: Some people have an easier time accepting it than others.
“They’re never gonna talk to me again.” Lucy said quietly, unwrapping the scarf from around her head and folding it up. “But I knew that was coming. How’d your parents take it?”
Ana shrugged her shoulders and waved her hand from side to side. “Mom’s pretty okay with it, but Dad’s in shock. He’ll get over it.” She grabbed a hairbrush and helped Lucy pull out the bobby pins that kept her hair in place. “And your parents will too.”
Lucy snorted, leaning back against her girlfriend and looking up at her with red-rimmed green eyes. “They hate me.”
“They love you.” Ana kissed her ear and started brushing out the young woman’s thick red hair. “They just don’t understand how their little girl ended up…”
“With a big dyke? Keith says that they would have accepted it if it was Raia coming out of the closet.”
“Baby, your sister’s nuttier than a fruit cake. They’re pretty much used to accepting stuff when it comes to her.”
