Teddy tore the hideout apart while the others stood back and let him work out some of his frustration. Finally, he calmed down enough to say two words.
“Find. Them.”
[We will.]
Teddy turned to Vision, an odd look on his face. “How?” he asked warily, sitting down on the remains of a couch. This had obviously been the Young Masters of Evil’s hideout at some point, but they were long gone. “You know so much, where would they go? Where would they take Billy?”
[I do not know, but I will follow every lead I have. You all have all the information that we have collected.] He looked to the others, then back at Teddy. [I have something I need to check on my own.]
He started to leave, but Teddy grabbed his arm.
“I’m going with you. We’re going with you. We can’t just split up now.”
[Cassie, Kate, and Eli are too recognizable, and Tommy is… Tommy. No offence.]
Tommy shrugged, taking the comment for what it was: the truth.
[You are too upset to do this with the subtlety required. You could cause Billy’s death if this is not done cautiously.]
Teddy’s grip only tightened on Vision’s arm. “You’re the one she was talking about before, weren’t you.”
[I will explain everything, I promise,] Vision said, phasing out of Teddy’s grip, [as soon as we get Billy back.]

“We should kill him and be done with it,” Kristoff said, gesturing towards Billy. The boy struggled against his bonds and glared as he tried to get his mouth free of the duct tape. The shield spell wrapped around him, based in a chalk circle, flared occasionally.
Mina sighed, feeling no great urge to have this argument again. “No. I’ve already explained this to you.”
“You give good excuses, but I think you just don’t have the stomach for it.”
Tak quietly stood up, coming between Kristoff and Billy. “Mina says he lives,” he said softly, hands glowing slightly as he did so.
“Just who do you think is the leader here?” Kristoff demanded. His question was met with silence as the others considered this.
“I got ten bucks on Kristoff in a fight,” Ricky muttered. Jessie elbowed him in the ribs and hissed for him to shut up.

Jonas stood outside of Professor Morgan’s office, his course set. He hadn’t wanted to do this - he had hoped to avoid it, to negotiate with them - but the Young Masters of Evil and Mina had taken things too far. First, Professor Morgan, then Iron Man and the Avengers.
Maybe it was time to put the fear of God into the young goddess.
It looked like someone had been packing up the professor’s office, all the books and knickknacks piled into boxes.
[Professor Morgan? Do you know where your daughter is?]

“Teddy, I think I found something!” Kate called, getting the shape shifter’s attention. She held up a scrap of paper that looked like it had been torn out of a book and hastily written on. Teddy grabbed the scrap out of her hands.
It was an address, and it was written in Billy’s handwriting.

“We’ve got to clear out of here,” Jessie announced. “They-they’re coming! They know where we are!”
Mina broke eye contact with Kristoff and nodded. “Right. You know what we need to do.”

For the second time that day, Teddy broke into an empty hideout. This one had been more hastily abandoned, with food left out and a video game still playing.
This time, it was also not actually empty. Billy had been tied to a chair and left inside a chalk circle.
Teddy’s heart started beating again. “Billy!” He crossed the chalk circle and ripped the duct tape from his wrists. Billy reached up and yanked the gag out of his mouth, panting. “Oh thank God-”
Billy pulled Teddy close and kissed him deeply, his tongue parting Teddy’s lips. “I knew you’d come.”
“We always find each other,” Teddy said, almost laughing a little hysterically as he stroked Billy’s hair and inhaled deeply. His nose twitched slightly as something caught his attention.
“Uh-huh. Lets get out of here.” Billy scrambled to his feet, and Teddy followed slowly. He took Billy’s arm before the dark haired boy could slip out of range, just as the others entered. “Teddy?”
Teddy’s other hand shot out, wrapping around Billy’s neck and lifting him off the ground. Billy kicked and choked as Cassie cried out in shock, and Teddy shook him roughly. “You aren’t him,” he growled. “You smell wrong.”
‘Billy’ stopped fighting and started laughing, a too-shrill noise to come out of that face as he hit Teddy with a bolt of poisonous green energy that sent the shape shifter flying, making him let go. ‘Billy’s features melted and shifted, revealing the smirking Morrigan. “This,” she laughed, raising her hand to block an arrow shot by Kate with another burst of power, “is just so sad.”
Eli dodged left and Tommy zipped right, landing several glancing blows that the demi-goddess shrugged off before she flew out of range, narrowly avoiding being smacked out of the air by Cassie. She began fading away, still laughing, when a new voice rang out.
“I bind thee, Wilhelmina Ragna Morgan! I bind thy power with the will of flesh and blood, and with thy true name! I bind thee, I bind thee, I bind thee!”
The Morrigan shrieked and seemed to collapse on herself, falling to the floor with her cape spreading out around her like a pair of broken wings. Both she and Teddy turned in the direction of the new voice, with Kate raising her bow, an arrow notched and ready.
Vision had come in, and behind him stood a small, bird-like and slightly balding man holding a dark haired doll wrapped in a red cord, rimless eyeglasses perched low on his nose, a pinched look on his face.
“Daddy?”
