“Suzee, can you hear me?” Catalina called desperately. “Suzee, please answer me!”
No answer. Suzee couldn’t even see her.
“Oh no,” Catalina moaned. “I’m stuck.” She paced around Suzee and her friends, calling their names even though she knew they couldn’t hear her.
She’d never felt so alone. Before, she’d always had Suzee, and now Suzee was in her reality, in her life, and she was all alone. No one could hear her screaming.
“I think I’m gonna be sick,” she whispered to herself.
