Zeke leaned over the side of the boat and trailed his fingers in the crystal clear, sun warmed water. “Haven’t been on a boat since Skrull Ringo invited the family on vacation.” He turned his head to look at Bobby. His hair seemed even whiter against his newly tanned skin, as did the scar running down his chest. “Hand me the sunblock.”
Bobby shoved the bottle of sunblock towards Zeke with his foot. “My family vacations were always landlocked,” he said, watching the sail flap slightly in the breeze. “Dad gets sea sick something awful.” He watched Zeke slather a fresh layer of sunblock on, then reached over and started playing connect the dots with Zeke’s freckles and his finger. “Our vacations tended to end badly anyway. Or with us taking pictures in front the a Celestial.”
“Poor baby.” Zeke squirmed a little, lowering his eyelids slightly. “Enjoying yourself?”
“As much as I enjoy anything,” Bobby mused.
