“Breathing fire is one of the more difficult fire bending skills,” Zuko explained. “It’s something that comes from deep inside you. If you do it wrong, you’ll burn yourself from the inside out.”
“Okay,” Aang said, watching Zuko. “How do I do it?”
“You start with the breath,” the Fire bender said, taking a deep breath to demonstrate. “As you breathe out, you take the fire inside you and you let it stream out along with the breath itself. You do not let the fire burn until it is past your lips. Now, try.”
Aang swallowed hard and took a deep breath.
