Victor looked at the assembled teenage mutants. Almost everyone was there, cooped up and getting on each other’s nerves.
“Okay,” he said, his right hand on his hip, “I’m tired of hiding out in here. It’s a very nice new bunker, but there’s a great big city out there waiting to be explored. If we stay in here, we might as well be dead. Why survive if you aren’t living?” He took a breath and smoothed out his t-shirt. “So, I’m going out. Who’s coming with me?”
Neznho unfolded himself from his position in the corner, the vibranium tattoos catching the light as he moved. He gave Victor a long, thoughtful look, then said quietly. “I will.”
