“When the hell did this get so insane?” Garth groaned, pressing his palms against his eyes. “This was never supposed to be a political movement. It was… it was a sprocking excuse to blow off steam.”
“Eat it, Grandpa! does carry certain political connotations when directed at a planetary leader,” Imra mused, her lips quirking into a small grin as she ran her hands soothingly through Garth’s hair.
“You’re all against me. You’re on Brainy’s side, trying to make me crazy,” Garth accused, peering at the telepath through his fingers. “He’s probably got this whole place bugged, and he’s watching me and cackling.”
“I don’t think Brainy cackles. It’s too… human.”
