Lance Montgomery stubbed out his cigarette and scratched his beard. “So who is this guy?”
Christian Summers watched the dark haired man working on the other side of the plate glass window. “His name is Lear Frost.”
Lance paused in his haunt for a fresh cigarette, his bushy eyebrows rising. “I didn’t know you had any family left on your mom’s side.”
“Neither did I.” Christian licked his lips. “I was going through some of her things when I found… he’s my aunt Cordelia’s son. Mom found out about him and took him from her. She hid him, set him up with a trust fund and foster parents. According to the file she had on them, they were good people. He works here part time, making pizza. I guess he likes it.”
“Your mother terrifies me,” Lance said. “She’s dead, and she still terrifies me.”
Christian sighed, folding up his newspaper. “Lets go.”
“If you’re not going to go in, why are we here?”
Christian shrugged. “I guess I just wanted to see him.”
