Zeke studied Lucy’s flawless caramel colored skin, fingering the blemish on his own chin. “How do you do it?” he asked. “I never see you with spots.”
The girl rolled her eyes. “Your vanity will be the death of you,” she warned.
“C’mon…” Zeke whined. “Is it some kind of scrub? A crème?”
Lucy laughed, shaking her head. “I’m just lucky,” she explained.
“Maybe some kind of mutant power…” Zeke mused.
“Ezekiel, if you don’t knock it off, you’re gonna be more worried about burn scars than acne.”
