Victor Borkowski rested his head in his hands, pressing his thumbs against the sides of his nose. He groaned, shaking his head as Julian shut the office door. “Heavy is the head that wears the crown, O Headmaster?”
Victor looked up, running his hand over his face. “How did Ms. Frost and Mr. Summers do this? I feel like my head’s gonna explode.”
“That would be messy,” Julian mused, slipping behind Victor and leaning over the back of the chair to rub the other man’s shoulders. “And we’d have to clean the carpet before tricking someone else into doing this.”
“Why am I doing this?” Victor asked, turning his head slightly to look at Julian out of the corner of his eye.
The telekinetic took a moment to think before speaking. “Because you think - and I agree - that the school itself needs to be run by someone who isn’t focusing most of his energy on being an X-Man.”
Victor sighed, leaning back against Julian’s hands and closing his eyes. “A little lower and I might not run screaming from this place.”
