Victor had spent the last hour in a state of mild panic, ever since he’d crossed the bridge into Manhattan. Alani would have pointed out that Victor lived on panic and coffee, but this was a special kind of panic. This was a full blown case of the First Date Jitters.
Maybe this was a really bad idea.
In fact, he was almost certain that this was a really bad idea. Dating another super-hero usually ended badly.
But he’d already said ‘yes’ to Teddy. At least, for one date. And it was really, REALLY hard to say ‘No’ to Teddy, especially when he looked at you with those big blue eyes and that little boy smile.
