Victor Borkowski carefully folded up his favorite leather jacket and tucked it into the box of things he was getting rid of, along with all his other jackets and long sleeved shirts. He hated letting it go, but it wasn’t like he could wear it anymore, not with his arm like it was.
“New arm,” he sighed, “new wardrobe.”
Ms. Frost had promised new clothes to replace the old ones, but nothing could replace the leather jacket and what it meant to him.
“You cannot get rid of that,” Paras insisted, walking into the room. “You love that jacket.”
Victor looked at Paras, then the jacket. “You take it.”
“What?”
Victor handed Paras the jacket. “I want you to have it. It’s not like it fits me any more.”
Paras ran his hands over the jacket before holding it to his chest. “I… thank you, Victor.”
