Lazaro sighed and shook his head as he watched Victor walk away from Nezhno, a hurt look on the shorter boy’s face. “Wakandans don’t like anyone who isn’t Wakandan.”
Victor looked up, lips pursed. “Why?”
Lazaro shrugged. “They think they are better than everyone else. And gods forbid anyone not Wakandan sully their oh-so-perfect blood by even thinking to speak to one of them.”
Victor snorted quietly. “Bitter much?” he asked.
“There are many places where calling one a Wakandan is considered a grave insult.”
“I’m sure they aren’t all bad.”
Lazaro looked at Nezhno, who hadn’t moved and wasn’t even acknowledging their presence. “Perhaps. Perhaps not.”
