I appologize in advance. The plotbunnies pretty much died and I wanted to get this wrapped up.

“You can’t be serious,” Teddy growled, pointing a thick green finger at the Lokispawn, who stood watching TakNuke as he picked up the pieces of Fix-it.

[The original Vision felt that she had a place on the list, and she did help us,] Jonas said. [Aside from us, she’s the only remaining person in the Avengers Protocol in New York left alive.]

“Actually, I live in Oklahoma now, remember?”

[I believe Kang has been targeting people on the list, starting with the ones in New York . Those he could not corrupt, or at least appear to corrupt, he killed.]

“Speaking of corrupted-” Billy said, hand resting on the pommel of the Lokispawn’s knife.

“Keep looking at me like that and I’ll pluck your eyes out,” the Lokispawn said flatly, “deal or no deal.”

“Deal?” Cassie asked. “What deal?”

“You gonna tell them, or do I get to?”

Jonas kept himself between the girl and his friends. [Mina and Tak agreed to help me stop Kang in exchange for their freedom.]

“Does this make us heroes?” Tak asked.

“Big damn heroes,” the Lokispawn confirmed.

“Why didn’t you just tell us what was happening?” Eli demanded.

[If I had, you would have insisted on confronting Kang, and as things were, that would have inevitably lead to your destruction,] he said, not looking at Cassie. [By the time I knew what was going on, it was already too dangerous.]

“And now we get to leave,” Tak said, Fix-it’s remains gathered in his arms.

“I need to get back before Mom and Dad start to wonder what’s up,” the demi-goddess added. “You can keep the knife, by the way.”

“This isn’t over,” Billy told her flatly.

“Nope,” Mina agreed.
