Summary: In which Lynx-O is accused of being smug.
Bengali stared sulkily at the ruins of his hair in the mirror. Pumyra held up the scissors, trying and failing to keep her grin in check. He looked at her, then flung himself into a chair so that she could get to work on fixing the damage as best she could.
“I know he is old, and blind, and a very dear friend,” Bengali said, “and that it is wrong to wish bad fortune on anyone, but just once, I wish Lynx-O would be caught in one of Mumm-Ra’s traps.”
Pumyra laughed softly, ruffling what was left of Bengali’s hair.
“He is getting smug about it, Pumyra,” he insisted.
“Perhaps a little,” she agreed, still laughing.
