Was just searching through different film communities and came across your post on the indiefilm one about Bully. Would love to hear your total thoughts on the film, as it is my new favorite movie. Check out my journal if you want. Before you do though i will let you know that 99% of the posts will be about about *NSYNC or Britney Spears.

heh thanks for commenting. hmmm. let me think. full feelings on Bully, eh? Let me see. First of all.. i *thought* that Brad Renfro was the character of the bully. I was wrong. It began oddly enough. The first lines caught my attention and made it perfectly clear this was no a movie my mom would want to see. to be honest, if it wasnt for the fact that its a real life story, i wouldnt believe how much this guy let himself get bullied around. ive seen ppl get picked on before but wow. hmm. oh, well. i wasnt digging the slutty chick at first [yeah i kinda forgot everyones names, sorry =(]. the plot continues.. the gay bar scene was interesting. i dont think they give enough background of the bullying.. like.. they couldve shown a quick rundown of how they grew up together. also.. how long was the red head chick going out w/ brads character? she automatically*loves* him?? i mean.. really =\ what else... i wasn't buying their attitudes. but then again they were all mostly on drugs. so maybe that had something to do with it? they just didn't ( ... )

The entire backstory thing was a huge thing the film could have had. I agree on that, because you don't get to see why Marty did put up with all the stuff that Bobby was doing. From the ear twisting to get him the booze, i would have told the kid to f*** off. The only backstory really in the move was the druggie chics grandfather. Ali (the slutty chic) was a little much for a while but then i sorta ignored her, after she brought Donny, and Heather, into the story. Which those two got on my nerves to no end. Everyone else could have had a motive to a degree i think. Lisa, on the other hand i thought was the best character wise, or at least the best acted. The total attitudes of the kids, i could believe cause i used to hang out with kids like that, although no killing was ever mentioned. I don't know really why i liked the movie as much as i did, maybe cause i was a huge fan of KIDS. You said you rented it from blockbuster, and i was wondering if it was the R rated version or The uncut one?
