i want to be 8 years old again. i want it to be summer. i want to stay outside untill the streetlights come on and catch fireflys with the boy next door and my brother. i want to go back to when we thought it was a big deal to be able to ride bikes or roller skate around the block...instead of having to have one of our mothers watch us do ( Read more... )

yea...as i was reading all of that i pictured myself doing the exact same thing...catching fireflies and worrying about hiding spots. i wish i was 8 again too.

*sigh* being a kid was great.....i have a song that i wrote that is kinda about that....its about this boy who used to live next door to me and puppy love and not wanting to grow up. its cheezy as fuck and pretty lame. my mom loves it though...she would.....i dont know if that a good thing or bad thing that my mom likes it.....*ponders*....at least i have 1 person that doesnt think its crap.
