death in the family

older son's paternal grandmother died last night.
funeral on the 22nd.
i have to tell him now.
she was a sweet, sweet lady.

thank you my friend. that was one of the hardest things i've had to tell him. he stopped dead in his tracks, his face lost all expression, then he simply walked into his bedroom.
