The roses were on the piano when Albus came back home after a long day at the Ministry. He frowned at the sight, but then he recalled the date.
It had been a year since Scorpius and he moved into their house, since they confronted the world and received the support of both their families. Albus smiled fondly at the memories of their first night together under that roof.
A hand slid around his waist, a soft voice purring in his ear. "Happy anniversary."
"Happy indeed," he murmured, turning around.
The roses didn't last that long on the piano keys.
