I recommend trying it out with a used 49cc scooter (not just saying that to try to sell you ours, plenty on Craigslist too!)... they are very cheap (under $2000 new, probably half that used) and don't require a special license in PA. With a used one you can make back that money in gas/bus pass costs in a five years. Especially if you commute inside the city on 35mph or less roads.
